In a day of age where we’re constantly connected to an aggregated extension to the rest of the world, it’s not difficult to forget the core essence that we’re a living and breathing biological being. While we go along our day working away in our various tasks that consume our thought process, we manage to sneak in more content from alternative sources to keep us occupied. And why not, the fact that we can find and curate genuine content that we want to see on a daily basis is absolutely amazing. Not long ago the sources of content we had access to we’re sold off shelves in retail stores that we’re produced at a slightly slower pace. A pace that in our present time would not meet the demand of what consumers are accustomed too.
The creative crowd has little to no limit in sharing and reaching a fan base and showcasing their original work. It’s a fantastic time to be involved in this technological and cultural shift as a creator. We live in a time where there’s not as much corporate figures capitalizing off content that is tailored to facilitate a certain image or style. We’re in a position where both parties are fully embracing the freedom that has long been overdue. With something of great value of course has to have drawbacks. There’s an exceptional amount of noise with the ever growing creative landscape trying to promote their work. Social platforms are slowly heading into a different method of accommodating the subscribers interests but potentially taking away a creator’s spotlight time away. And the sheer number of outlets to choose from to promote your content has become almost as much a burden as alternative ways to connect. Taking the time to learn the concept of the platform can steer you away from working onto your craft.
With every new application that comes out, creators have to find out what potential the service provides in order to get an upper hand when the service becomes popular. Early adopters have the advantage of attaining a signature style since there’s no one else that’s fully exploring the uncharted virtual landscape. For the consumer, it’s a matter of understanding the concept of the service and then invest into it as another form of receiving content. Tremendous amounts of energy are being utilized in order to stay ahead of the game. For myself theres a sense of wonder if there’s a limit as to if we’re being efficient with all this accessibility. These outlets do tap into important assets like exploring our creative or personal selves and what’s surrounds us which can inspire and help us grow as individuals. When we get caught up into this race of being ahead do we consider those fundamental facts and the one crucial lifeline which is time itself.
We have the adept ability to learn as much as we can. It’s one of the reasons why we are where we are as inhabitants in this diverse world. Everyone is different in how they carry themselves throughout their day. Some have the ability to harness what’s currently trending, but even with the ability to balance personal and work life, it doesn’t take much to neglect something very crucial which is yourself. Take the time to recognize what’s going on inside of you. Take a little bit of time to analyze, even if it’s just for a little bit, and reassess where your head’s at. Take a few deep breaths, try to tap into the present time, leaving the subconscious mind aside for a while. We have all the attention in the world to invest into what’s going on around us, if it’s through artificial feeds or physical interactions. But always remember that there should be time dedicated to just yourself and your well being because as crucial as it is to be ahead of the ever evolving environment we live in as a creator or a consumer, the vessel that is our mind and body is the most crucial element of this arrangement. Take the time to take care of yourself, even if you have to step away and reset your current state of being.
